Diapers!

Baby Diapers! Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.

We all have conflicted relationships with diapers I'm sure. So handy and useful, yet so smelly and unpleasant. I for one am a fan of disposable diapers. I so admire those of you who can handle the cloth diapers, I really do. But I am incapable of handling the disposable ones, let alone cloth ones. I have this weird OCD idea that the washer doesn't actually clean things...at least not to my standards...so I usually end up throwing away towels or washcloths that have been used to clean up unpleasant messes.
So wasteful, I know.

With Alex and I deciding to use disposable diapers for this coming child we also thought it would be a good idea to keep our eyes peeled for deals on diapers. I have a few pins I'm referencing as I stock up on them to give me an idea of how many and how much and all that good stuff (here and here). But I'm no super-couponer. I don't understand couponing...no matter how much I try. It's very sad. Maybe someday I'll have an a-ha moment and it will finally make sense, but until that day that comes I'll have to resort to other measures.

I found a good deal on Huggies.com for Amazon - a $2 off coupon on their "Little Snugglers" brand. Yeah, $2 doesn't seem like a good deal, especially when the boxes cost anywhere from $18-$48. But I thought I'd give it a whirl. When I followed the link to Amazon it gave me two different coupons, a $2 off coupon and a 13% off coupon. Seemed pretty good. I put the biggest box in my cart along with the coupons and ended up getting size 1 diapers for $0.16 a pop. Not too shabby! Now I just have to figure out where to put this giant box of diapers until April.......

(I had a friend inform me that if you're not super concerned about brand name diapers Walmart has the cheapest regular price diapers out there at $0.12 a diaper)
